Darren Beachley and Barry Scott have recently formed what is being referred to as a mega-merger pairing two of Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver alums. Both have been fronting their own bands in recent years with good success.
Barry Scott’s group, Barry Scott & Second Wind was a great effort musically and vocally and Darren Beachley’s group, Legends of The Potomac has been on regular rotation on "The Southern Branch Bluegrass Express" offering great sounds as well.
I’m very anxious to hear the result of this merger and hope it works out to be a successful ride for all involved.
I understand the name of the new group is "The Beachley & Scott Band".
