As part of the celebration of the birth of Bill Monroe, two compilation CD's have been organized and features some great names such as IIIrd Thyme Out, Seldom Scene, Don Rigsby and Tony Rice to name a few performing Monroe tunes such as Mule Skinner Blues, Footprints In The Snow, Blue Moon of Kentucky and Big Mon. The CD is called "With Body and Soul: A Bluegrass Tribute To Bill Monroe" with an all Gospel CD to follow titled "Let The Light Shine Down: A Gospel Tribute To Bill Monroe" and look forward to sharing that with the listeners as well. Join us as we celebrate the birth of Bluegrass/Bill Monroe this week as "The Spotlight Artists of the Week".
